Will you or your research group contribute to a community effort to generate a AI-ready global high-frequency soil moisture and precipitation data set?

We, a CUAHSI funded USGS Powell Center synthesis working group, are looking for precipitation and soil moisture time series that have measurement frequencies of at least every 30 minutes or less than 30 minutes. Soil moisture measurements should cover at least 12 months and be done at least at two different soil depths.
Please see the provided AI4PF_data_submission_template.xlsx where you see the information we ask you to provide about your study site(s). We also provide an example file for precipitation and soil moisture data, respectively, and ask you to provide your data in the respective format. a) The time column should be in the format "YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS". e,g., do 2022-02-01 05:05:00 b) The time column should be continuous, with no gaps greater than one measurement interval. For example, if the dataset has a 10-minute resolution, there should not be a gap from 2022-05-04 12:00:00 to 2022-05-04 14:00:00 without intermediate timestamps. Any missing timestamps in this range should be included, and measurements should be filled with NaN values where necessary. c) Make sure columns with precipitation and soil moisture either numeric or NaN values. Use points (not comma) for decimal. We have seems users submit data with values like 16,5 instead of 16.5. d) Provide soil moisture as percentage.
